I use Creative Commons images all the time as part of my job as PSL, they are handy, as they allow for creativity and flexibility.   I entered the Wikipedia deffinition of Duck, and this is what I got from Wordle - fun!

 

Tweeps!

This week I poked my head out of the ether and Tweeted! You see, I usually just creep – I check my feed often, but rarely do I say anything. I use my Twitter feed to remain abreast of the latest happenings in my community, and to stay up-to-date with my favorite library related organizations. This week with NB23, I am being challenged to have a voice – I am up for that challenge. Expect to hear more from me in the Twitter-sphere!

Hello

As I flit about Blogger, learning the ins and outs of the platform, I am feeling excited about the possibilities and the Things that I will learn along the 23 Things journey. As a member of the support team, I will participate along with the rest of NBPLS staff.

When not at work, I am interested in textiles - all things fiber related; like knitting, sewing, weaving, and upcycled crafts. This blog will focus on these things, while maintaining a library link; I will include possible programming, promotions, and cool ideas in general.

Check out this amazing yarn-bombed set of stairs at the Helsinki Cathedral in Finland. Image yarn-bombing something outside of your library as a means of fun promotion. Imagine hosting a program where you plan a yarn-bomb event whereby you plan and create the piece. Fun!
